This is our intermediate ballet class is for dancers who are ready to get going on their ballet goals! Class includes barre and center floor work. Attire: Leotard and tights or leggings. Hair in a bun or off of the neck. Pink or nude ballet shoes. Men should wear a form fitting t-shirt and tights, leggings, or shorts. No baggy clothing please. Black or Nude ballet shoes.
Level III Musical Theatre Jazz Mondays, 6:00-7:00, Instructor: Emi Hensel
Attire: Form fitting clothing such as a leotard or athletic wear. Black or nude jazz shoes.
*New Class!* Level III Tap Mondays, 7:00-7:45, Instructor: Emi Hensel. Notice its a 45 minute class!
Tap for intermediate dancers - This Musical Theatre centered tap class is especially designed for students who want to focus on Broadway style tap. A great class for tappers to their steps to the next level!
Level III is recommended for 6th - 12 grades. This is our intermediate level.

Age is only a starting point, we want to make sure your student is where they need to be!
We want every student to feel challenged and confident in his or her class. Dance instructors may suggest a student move to a different level that is right for them. If you are not sure which level your student should be in, you can contact our Dance Program Director, Emi Hensel, and she will be happy to get your student in the class that is right for them.
$20/month for 30 minute classes
$40/month for 60 minute classes
$35/month for 45 minute classes
**Discount offer: First two classes are full monthly price, all other classes are only $25 per month.** Scholarships and financial aid are available!

What to wear:
Shoes: Black Tap, black jazz, pink ballet shoes (depending on the class).
Clothing: Please wear comfortable clothing for tap/jazz classes with hair pulled away from the face (t-shirt and leggings or shorts).
Ballet students should wear a leotard and leggings or tights with hair in a bun.
Where to go:
Classes are held in MHT’s NEW dance studios located at 206 & 208 KY Avenue! The lobby is on the back side of these buildings - there is a parking lot off Marine Way behind the Finkel building.
DanceMHT is MHT's premier dance program for pre-school to adult! We offer beginner - advanced classes in ballet, tap, and jazz and also offer hip-hop, contemporary, and pointe. Classes meet on weekday evenings for approximately 16 weeks, with two sessions per year. There is an annual Spring Showcase after the first session and a smaller Christmas Showcase after the second session.
Session 1: January - May
Session 2: August - December.

- Class size minimum is 4 and maximum is 10.
Meet the DanceMHT Program Director:
Emi Chapman Hensel is instructor/choreographer for DanceMHT and is principal choreographer for Market House Theatre, including the recent musicals Mamma Mia, The Addams Family, Hairspray, Mary Poppins and All Shook Up.
She has studied Ballet, Modern and Dance Improvisation at Belhaven University.
Addie Franklin is a junior at Paducah Tilghman High School and dancer at DanceMHT. She is a teaching assistant at MHT and past assistant at DanceMHT, with several years of dancing experience at DanceMHT and The Rhythm Factory. She is super excited to have the opportunity to teach again this year!
